In accordance with these national guidelines, CondeHouse carefully selects and manages all materials used in our furniture, including plywood, adhesives, and finishes, to ensure safety and peace of mind. VOCs are chemical substances released into indoor air from building materials, finishes, and adhesives. Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has established indoor concentration guidelines for 13 substances, including formaldehyde, toluene, and xylene. ●We use only JIS- and JAS-certified F☆☆☆☆ plywood, the classification with the lowest level of formaldehyde emissions. ●All adhesives meet the JAIA F☆☆☆☆ self-regulatory standards established by the Japan Adhesive Industry Association. ● Our finishes are free from intentionally added VOCs that require special consideration in sick house prevention―such as toluene, xylene, styrene, and ethylbenzene―and are applied using either polyurethane coatings or oil finishes.
