18 Barca means a boat in Italian. The shape of the shell looking like a boat can change as you wish by moving the 28 pieces of sliding boards consisting of the shell. It was a big challenge: the sliding boards must move smoothly but maintain a posture at the same time. The chair won the best prize in International Furniture Design Competition in Asahikawa 2008 for its originality, and has grown up to be one of the iconic products to show CondeHouse�s enthusiasm for design.
